Customized Bootstrap Template Website Creation using HTML, CSS, jQuery

Calvin Alexander Ramsay, an author and playwright who has been featured in the New York Times and Humans of New York, needed a personal website to publicize his work. I customized a Bootstrap template to be fully responsive and optimized for tablet and mobile devices. I also took the author’s photograph for the homepage. When building this page, I focused on creating a layout that would showcase this website’s content clearly so visitors could learn more about the client and his writing.

Sandhya Prabhakaran is a postdoctoral research scientist who required a platform to present her academic achievements and display her career path. I focused on creating a clear structure for the website that separated content into relevant sections. Using Bootstrap, I created a website that functions as a fully responsive and interactive CV optimized for tablet and mobile displays. In later iterations of the website, I simplified the visual design to direct readers’ focus towards the client’s achievements.

New Custom Coded Website and Brand Identity Creation (HTML, CSS, jQuery, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)

The client, a psychiatrist and psychotherapist who works in private practice, needed a brand and website to advertise her business. I first concentrated on the business’s identity by creating a custom logo to develop a visual brand. The logo was created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Simple and stylish, it clearly displays the psychiatrist’s initials and can be used in both digital and print media.

I then designed the client’s website around that identity system. The website is hand-coded from scratch—no templates or pre-existing frameworks were used in its development. The website is fully responsive, optimized for all desktop and mobile displays. It features a modern parallax scrolling effect and a jQuery plugin to facilitate smooth and seamless navigation.
